June 8, 2010...Parking & Transportation at the Taste. Free parking is available at the Holiday Inn. If the lot is full, you may park on surrounding streets without fear of ticketing. Attendees may also take advantage of a free shuttle running from Sullivan Station to the venue. Look for our green and white Door2Door van in the passenger pickup and drop-off area. Shuttles run every 20 minutes starting at 5:10.

May 24, 2010...Door2Door Transportation by SCM and title sponsor Triumvirate Environmental today announced steps the Taste of Somerville will take to move toward its goal of becoming a green event. The Taste will:
........• Purchase a TerraPass carbon offset for the event, courtesy of Bonney Automotive
........• Provide Door2Door green van shuttle service every 20 minutes between
...........SullivanSquare Station MBTA and the event
........• Donate leftover food to Cambridge and Somerville Program for Alcoholism and
...........Drug Rehabilitation

May 21, 2010...Well-known photographer Frank Siteman has donated his services for a family portrait to the Taste of Somerville Silent Auction. See examples of his work at http://www.franksiteman.com/familyportraits/. It is a $350 value. Bidding will start at 5:30 on June 8 and close at 7:45 pm. Don’t be late!

May 13, 2010…The joint will be jumping! Two local bands have signed on

April 12, 2010…Door2Door Transportation by SCM announces that Triumvirate Environmental is the title sponsor for the 2010 Taste of Somerville.  Plans call for a near-zero waste event, with composting and reuseable or recyclable dishes, utensils and napkins.  In addition, transportation between the Somerville Holiday Inn and the subway will be provided by Door2Door by SCM.  (click for copy of full press release)
